CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY:
A shrubby plant, Malabar Nightshade ( bassela rubra, Linn); alugbati in native
term, inhabits in a watery surface /in wetlands. This was commonly played by
lass, seeds as nail polish; stems, leaves, seeds as ingredients in their little
cooking session. This has caused a stain / tint on their dresses. With this
observable phenomena, researcher have come-up with this study, ALUGBATI SEED’S JUICE as INK.
Experimentation with simple mixing of juice with other substances, and so with
the various process based on the ink making in the ink industry. After which
testing, treatments, and comparison and contrasting should be done. Though
research probably now the seed has discovered its potential as ink and a good
product of a community.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:
The research study is focusing in the production of ink out of the alugbati seed’s juice. And its great feature as an ink.
Especially this study aims to answer the following questions:
· Can this juice be a good source for in production?
· Can this ink be able to last long?
· What substances can we found on its juice that made it dark in color?
HYPOTHESIS:
a. It is good source for ink production.
b. It become more different and intense when mixed with other substances.
SCOPE AND LIMITATION:
The research study is focusing in the production of ink out of the alugbati seed’s juice. And its great feature as an ink. And the plant to be used is the one, which is cultivated here in Philippines.
SIGNIFICANT OF THE STUDY:
Relating to our drama in modern worlds. We had observed that crisis, financially
was on the top rank on the numbers of listed problems here in our country.
Through this research, there would be a good source of income for farmers’
livelihood and cooperative producers and members plating more alugbati for
more source of ink on the areas in this nation can lessen the dangerous carbons,
which ruins the ozone layer. Sipping running waters from higher surface could
prevent killer floods and sense depressing landslide. Through researcher’s
hardships, from a simple shrubbery plants alugbati would then appreciated into a
mighty hero plant.
